Every sport, and how scholarships work
A scholarship is not only sport. It is housing, a library, a degree, and four years that change the trajectory.

Why athletes choose NextLane
We are former athletes: we earned scholarships, graduated from US universities and now coach here. We know the system from both sides, as athletes and as coaching staff.
- 01
We lived in this system
Both founders are former student-athletes. Vladimir studied at five US universities and now works as an assistant coach; Alisha competed for a university team for 4 years and graduated with honours. We know what coaches look for because we were on that side, and work on it now.
- 02
With you at every step
We don't disappear after signing the contract. From the first letter to a coach to the day you step onto the court for your university, we answer questions, solve problems, and guide you through every step of the process.
- 03
Honesty before the contract
If you have no real chance, we'll say so before we take your money. Fixed price, no hidden fees. We take clients we believe in, because our reputation is built on results, not promises.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about our program
All questionsNo, this is the most common misconception. There are thousands of universities in the USA at different levels, NCAA D1, D2, D3, NAIA and NJCAA. Each level has its own requirements and most serious athletes from CIS countries qualify for at least one of them. The problem is almost never the results, the problem is that athletes don't know how to reach the right coaches and present themselves. That is exactly what we do.
On average 2 to 6 months. The first responses from coaches typically come within the first weeks after outreach begins. Timelines depend on the athlete's level, sport, and the time of year the process starts. We always honestly advise clients when to begin to align with the right recruiting season.
A basic B1 level is enough to start the process. We help compose letters to coaches and prepare the athlete for communication with the coaching staff. English actively improves during preparation and especially after arriving in the USA, it is not a barrier to getting started.
An athletic scholarship can cover tuition, dormitory, and meals, sometimes in full. The amount depends on the university level, sport, and the athlete's profile. On our call we give specific numbers based on your situation. Not abstract ranges but a real forecast of out-of-pocket expenses per year.
We are not just an agency, we are former athletes who went through this ourselves. Both founders graduated from US universities and now coach here: Vladimir studied at five US universities and works as an assistant coach, Alisha competed for a university team for 4 years and graduated with honours. Between us we earned more than $300,000 in scholarships. We know the system from the inside and exactly what American coaches look for. And we tell you honestly if we cannot help, before we take any money.
We do not take clients we are not confident in, if after reviewing your profile and results we see there is no real chance, we will say so immediately. Refund terms are written into the contract that every client receives before work begins. We work for our reputation, not for the number of clients, so it matters to us that every story ends well.
